Saw NameBright doing at cost registrations basically joining companies like Cloudflare, Spaceship etc.

I'm seeing more and more of this setting the trend to NO PROFIT domain registrations by selling other services.

Compared to a company like GoDaddy which is at the top tier for pricing one wonders if that motto can survive.
Even with a paid service like discount club GoDaddy is still more expensive for registrations than the ever growing list of companies registering at cost.

With this trend it is important to support your registrar by purchasing other services to allow for low cost registrations. This is especially important when you are dealing with some of the smaller Canadian registrars, they all need to make a profit to keep providing the cheap registration pricing.

Personally I was with GoDaddy for years but unless I purchased discount club the prices were out of reach for bigger catalogs. I stayed at godaddy because of the exemplary bulk tools but eventually the pricing even with discount club became unfavorable. I still stayed until I went on holidays and was basically locked out of my account by godaddy support because I was logging in from a foreign location. I did not have access to text and even providing my account PIN and logging in with Google Authenticator did not convince the support staff to allow access to my account.

I am currently with WHC and a simple phone call to my account rep and I would have been able to log in. I just got back from Holidays and had no issues performing my duties from a foreign location. Well done WHC!

So as attractive as some of the AT COST registrations are please make sure you are with a provider you trust and maybe purchase some other services to allow them to pay their employees. :)

NB launched a new layout: Looks good so far > NameBright

Edit: NameBright pricing is competitive but their support isn't great. Still waiting for a response for more than 24 hours. Choose the registrars with great support.
